ABOUT SARAHÖ

Founded by Sarah Hanoun, SARAHÖ is a studio shaped between Marseille and Morocco: two shores that share a pulse, a culture, and a raw Mediterranean energy.

Marseille is the first horizon: a place of crossings, accents, street life, and sunburnt colors. A city that vibrates louder than any cliché.

The other shore is Morocco Aka, Le bled: the familiar heartbeat, hands that craft with memory, patience, and ancestral savoir-faire.

From this constant dialogue, Sarah naturally built a creative space that moves, exchanges, and takes shape collectively. SARAHÖ is that place: a studio where popular Mediterranean heritage becomes a ground for experimentation.

Each object emerges from a meeting with an artisan, a fragment of lived Marseille culture, a raw material chosen for its imperfection, a technique inherited and reinvented. Nothing is polished. Everything is real because beauty lives in what vibrates and refuses to be flattened.

As the french rapper Keny Arkana says: "Marseille isn't the Côte d'Azur. It's a millennia-old city where communities have always crossed paths."

The objects carry that same spirit: vibrant, raw, and deeply Mediterranean.Shaped by street energy, the sun, and the sea.

ABOUT SARAH

Sarah Hanoun, 36, was born and raised in Morocco and now live in Marseille. Multidisciplinary artist and a self-taught designer. She is also the founder of SARAHÖ.

THE JOURNEY BEGAN WITH THE SIMPLE NEED TO CREATE. The Phocaean city, with its vibrant chaos between sea, mountains, and street culture, constantly fuels sarah's imagination, while Moroccan craftsmanship connects her to her roots, to ancestral gestures that tell where she comes from.

In this constant back-and-forth between two shores, she transforms stories into objects, marked with letters, symbols, and patterns: Greek, Amazigh, and Arabic, blended with Marseille's visual codes to create forms that speak in a new way.

PRODUCTION

Create something by hand means having the freedom to explore artisanal skill and bring new ideas to life.

At SARAHÖ, we work side by side with master artisans and committed social structures across Morocco and France.

Hands touch the materials, shape the forms, and let the craft lead.

We follows centuries-old traditions, yet each day is an experiment.

Time moves slowly here every cut, stitch, and gesture matters.

The beauty lies in the work we create together.

MATERIALS

With our partners, we work exclusively with the highest-quality materials. Every yarn, piece of rattan, or wood is carefully chosen for its quality, texture, and strength.

Our textiles are made from Merino wool sourced from an Italian mill founded in 1954 in Florence, renowned for the excellence and traceability of its fibers. Our tufted rugs are made from New Zealand wool, prized for its strength and softness, while our Moroccan rugs are crafted from premium Moroccan wool, naturally dyed, or upcycled fabric remnants.

Each piece is born from the connection between material and the artisan’s hands.

PARTNERS

Mirrors are handcrafted by our Master artisan, Mohamed in Rabat, Morocco.

Cushions and plaids are made by our partners : MANCALA and AL NOOR, socially engaged textile companies in Marrakech, Morocco.

Tufted rugs are produced by a traditional French manufecturer, where artisanal expertise meets innovation. Each piece is crafted using high-quality techniques and New Zealand wool, with exceptional and durable finishes.

COMMITMENT

At SARAHÖ, we choose to work only with partners who make a meaningful impact, and we are committed to being fully transparent with you. We continually develop collaborations with organizations that share our values and vision.

For example, MANCALA and AL NOOR are socially responsible companies supporting economic and social inclusion, particularly for women with disabilities, and they uphold fair labor practices, including regulated hours, paid leave, and access to social security.

Every object we share combines exceptional craftsmanship, premium materials, and our commitment to ethical, inclusive, and socially responsible practices.

"I explore a raw Mediterranean aesthetic: a vision beyond clichés, far from postcard imagery. My objects seek to capture the real, living region : Salt water in motion, streets alive, and it's vibrant atmosphere."
